Here at Tupgill Park Estate not only are we a vital part of the economy and support over 50 people in full-time/part-time employment but we also take a “Think Local, Buy Local” approach and many of these businesses have assisted us massively since the Estate was purchased back by the family in 1974.
Tom has been commissioned to make many bespoke items of furniture for The Estate, most recently St Cuthbert’s bench and the Throne Room in Fawcett’s Tower. We have allowed Tom to use his creative expertise and natural abilities to create his work.

Alan Tunstall “Big Al” has been an integral part of Tupgill Estate since its inception and has undertaken huge tasks with his team of builders to make the Estate what it is today. His son Bruce has taken the reigns to carry on and assist his Dad in the long-term future with their band of merry men! The Tunstall family also double as Chief beer tasters here at The Saddle Room!
